Dr Heather McCosker-Howard

Dr Heather McCosker-Howard is an Australian Eligible Midwife with 30 plus years’
experience as an academic, teacher, researcher, clinician and mentor. She currently
practices in a rural Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) providing individualised
continuous care for women, their babies and families from early pregnancy until 6
weeks post birth
She has developed courses and taught for universities, hospitals and community
groups both for formal preparation of midwives for registration and continuing
professional development for health care workers. She has conducted research and
supervised higher degree students within the university sector.
Her passion is to optimise individualised care for women, their families and babies
based on critical review of current research and clinical wisdom of expert
practitioners.
